This tutorial includes the following:
– Overview of the knots used
– List of (optional) supplies
– Preparation steps
– Written, step-by-step instructions to complete the project
The dimensions of the finished wall hanging will depend on the type and thickness of the materials you use and your tension. The approximate dimensions are 190 x 116 cm (75 x 46 inches) when using the exact materials specified in the pattern.
Happy Knotting!
This diy uses a knot that we haven’t seen yet – an Alternating Half Hitch Knot! What’s great about this set of instructions is that it only uses the Half Hitch Knot, so you can practice the knot over and over and not get overwhelmed with needing to know too many things or alternate between a lot of knots.
The finished look is thick, woven and really cool.
I always use cotton cords for my projects but have used synthetic cords as well for outdoor macrame projects like my solar macrame hanging lantern because it doesn’t rot and disintegrate. The feel and look of a cotton cord are much nicer though.
