The following feet come with the Brother SE600 embroidery machine:
While there are sewing machines with more stitches on the market, this one will fit the majority of your needs.
The previous SE400 model had only 67 stitches by comparison, however even this is sufficient for most beginners who are likely to use far less for the majority if their projects.
The color touchscreen on the Brother SE600 allows you to choose any and all settings with just the touch of an icon on your screen.
You can pick the stitches, change the color of an embroidery design, look up tutorials, and pick your basic stitch length and width.
Since this is a computerized sewing machine, almost everything you need can be found right on the screen. This touchscreen is 3.2 inches, making it easy to see and use.
The touchscreen is another notable upgrade from the SE400, which was slightly smaller and only displayed in black and white.
The SE600 also has a drop-in bobbin, ensuring you can just slide open the little door near the needle plate to insert your bobbin.
Additionally, since it’s directly in your sewing area, you can easily monitor the amount of thread available and refill it as necessary.
Brother promises that it’s jam-resistant – you’ll likely never be forced to stop and make corrections along the way.
The Brother SE600 also has numerous embroidery features. It comes with a 4 x 4 embroidery field that includes the hoop, embroidery arm, and the foot – so you have everything necessary to create your design.
This Brother machine also has embroidery features programmed directly into it, so you can preview your design and change thread colors, move the design, and/or place lettering in different shapes.
Finally, you can import all your designs from a USB drive.
All in all, there are 80 built-in embroidery designs, compared to 70 on the SE400 model.
The automatic needle threader ensures you’ll never strain your eyes while beginning a project.
When sewing with the Brother SE600, here are the included stitch options you can choose from. (As a note, the maximum stitch length and width are 5 mm x 7 mm.)
If you’re a beginner to embroidery, you may see this computerized face of the Brother SE600 and be overwhelmed.
Don’t worry; while it seems complicated, learning to use the Brother SE600 isn’t too difficult! This quick overview of what all the buttons do will give you an idea of several cool features of this machine.

On the front left of the sewing machine, there are four buttons and a slider.
A slider controls the sewing speed to the right of the scissors button. The maximum sewing speed is 710 stitches per minute with regular stitching.
The operation panel and associated keys are on the sewing machine’s right.
The SE600 is a very popular Brother machine, so there are quite a few YouTube videos out there on the machine. Check out this great tutorial to get familiar with the Brother SE600 and how to use it!
If you’re wondering what separates the Brother SE600 from the SE 625, it can be summarized as the following:
That’s it. The actual machines are exactly the same and, besides, it’s probably easier nowadays to find new designs online than to download them from a CD, so you can simply buy any model available as the price is also pretty much the same. (see comparison chart)
The Brother SE600 and SE630 are very similar sewing and embroidery machines. Both have a maximum embroidery area of 4” x 4” and have 103 built-in sewing stitches. There are a few differences between the machines. The SE630 has a slightly larger touchscreen and 480 included embroidery designs, whereas the SE600 only has 80 built-in embroidery designs.
The Brother SE630 and SE625 are almost identical machines. Both have the same sewing and embroidery features and look almost exactly the same – other than a different color design on the faceplate. The key difference between these two machines is that the SE630 comes with more embroidery designs, 480 versus the 280 included with the SE625.
The Brother PE535 has the same embroidery capabilities as the SE600. Both have 80 built-in embroidery designs and a 4” x 4” maximum embroidery area. The main difference between these two machines is that the PE535 is an embroidery-only machine and the SE600 can be used for both sewing and embroidery.
The Brother SE600 and the LB5000 are both sewing and embroidery combination machines with the same basic functionalities and maximum embroidery area of 4” x 4”. The real difference between these two machines is that the LB5000 comes in a StarWars-themed version (LB5000S) and a Marvel-themed version (LB5000M), while the SE600 is not themed. The LB5000 also comes with 10 additional themed embroidery designs.
